Who this training is for

Aspiring Teachers

Whether you're considering a career change, looking for a fulfilling supplement to your 9 to 5, or expanding from another modality, this training will give you the tools to be an impactful teacher and to build a path that sustains you.

From week one you will practice teaching and discovering your own signature style with an emphasis on creative flows and hands-on assists. And while most programs hand you a set class to memorize, here your 40+ hours of teaching experience culminates in sequencing and teaching your own class, so you leave with something audition-ready.

All graduates have the option to apply to our assisting apprenticeship.

Dedicated Students

Years of classes teach you the shapes, but for many practitioners your curiosity and interest run deeper. In this training you will bolster your personal practice as you take the postures apart to analyze alignment and anatomy. Sprinkle in the history and story behind these postures, dive deep into meditation and breathwork, and you will leave more deeply connected to your practice than ever before.

What sets this training apart

A strong practical focus. You start practicing teaching in week one, and graduate having sequenced and taught your own vinyasa flow.

Anatomy you can actually use. Learn how the body moves so you can teach safely and cue with clarity.

Expert faculty. Led by Tangerine Yoga's senior teachers, totaling over 60 years of teaching experience.

A cohort of 15. Small enough to dive deeper on your questions, with teachers seeing how you learn best. And most people leave with friendships that outlast the training.

Membership included. Three months of unlimited yoga at Tangerine is built into your tuition, a value of over $700.

Scholarships available. $5,000 in need-based BIPOC scholarships help make training accessible. We want this cohort to reflect our community.

A hybrid schedule designed to fit a busy life. Weeknights online and weekends in-person, so you can train without putting the rest of your life on hold.

Mentorship after you graduate. Keep building through our community classes and our assistant program, which is open only to graduates of this training.

I loved that as a teacher, Liz is so anatomically focused and I found that really helped me in my own practice. And I ended up getting so many friends out of it, a huge sense of community.

I just felt like the environment was very warm and welcoming and also adaptable. That made the process feel like it really was personalized for the people who are in this training. It wasn't just a copy-paste situation.

This program has given me space to listen, observe, and better understand my own style, one that is soft, creative, and shaped by learning from people I admire.
