yin yoga w/ kate kuss
Join Kate Kuss for this 2 hour workshop where we’ll discuss the pillars of yin yoga followed by a practice that will open the entire body. Kate uses meditation techniques along with music to support you in the experience. Be prepared to breathe deep, lengthen your fascia and rest your mind. Yin yoga is where we practice holding seated and supine postures for longer periods of time. The purpose is to gain more mobility in the body and a state of ease in the mind. Yin activates the parasympathetic nervous system which allows the body and mind to soften. The practice is designed to touch joints, ligaments and lots of the spaces in the body that may feel tight. Perfect for all levels and no prior yoga experience is necessary. Please bring a notebook, pen and water. (Illustration by Laura Berger)
