Okay, <<First Name>> I hear ya.
I got so many responses from yesterday’s email on detox, I decided to skip what I had planned for today and share a few more ways you boost your body’s natural cleansing system. You're welcome ;)
Here are my favorite foods for detox:
GREENS - I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: greens are like MAGIC for your cells. They give you energy, pack in nutrients, and help your body’s natural detox functions. Add a handful to your morning smoothie, saute with garlic and olive oil, or stir into your favorite soup recipe.
LEMON - Lemons are a great source of vitamin C, which is known to help the body detox and burn fat. Have in warm water first thing in the morning or add a squeeze to brighten up any dish.
GREEN TEA - Staying hydrated is so important, and green tea is one way to mix it up from regular water. Plus, green tea is high in antioxidants which fight inflammation in the body.
WHOLE GRAINS - Packed with insoluble fiber, whole grains keep you regular, allowing your body to release toxins naturally. Brown rice, wild rice, quinoa, and oats are all great options.
GARLIC + ONIONS - Garlic and onions have been used for years to boost immune function (so important this time of year as colds and the flu get passed around). You probably already use these guys, so go you!
GINGER- Ginger naturally revs your digestive fire and keeps your metabolism strong. Grate fresh ginger into a vegetable stir fry or make this fresh ginger tea
CINNAMON - Like ginger, cinnamon boosts your metabolism. It also helps curb sugar cravings! I love cinnamon in my smoothies and in my coffee!
How many of these naturally detoxifying foods can you add into your diet? Show me what you are eating and be sure to tag me @emilynachazel and @tangerinehotpoweryoga and #30daysoftangerine. I LOVE seeing your pictures.

Stay warm today,
Emily
PS. Need more recipes? I got you. Head on over here.
