Hi <<First Name>>,
Over the past few weeks you’ve built up some amazing habits - you’re drinking more water, incorporating practices that naturally detox and energize your body, and doing lots of yoga {way to go, by the way!}. But how do you make these healthy habits stick? How do you avoid burn out?
The answer: regular self-care.
Wait, what is self-care? Self-care is any activity that you do for yourself that makes you feel good, that re- charges you. It’s an act of caring for your physical, emotional, and/or mental self. And it’s totally necessary no matter who you are!
Self-care is unique for everyone.
Below are some ideas, but the possibilities are really endless (even watching TV can be self-care!). Pick one or two ideas to get started, and build on that. Remember, you are exactly where you need to be, and that shifting habits takes time, so be gentle with yourself!
Aim for one self-care practice in the morning to start the day off energized and positive and one in the evening to wind down and have deep, restful sleep.
- Yoga (woo hoo, you got that one covered!)
- Making tea - I love all Yogi teas, especially Honey Lavender and Chamomile
- Journaling
- Essential oils - To purchase essential oils, click here (and email me if you have any questions on which to buy!) My favorites: Serenity, Balance, and Lavender. And this is the diffuser I LOVE! It runs all night which is awesome.
I could go on and on. Even watching TV can be self-care - the important thing is that whatever it is makes you feel GOOD. Honestly, I don’t do much TV but totally binge watch Sex and the City every once and awhile. And enjoy every second of it.
How will you show yourself some love this week? Hit reply to this email or tag me on social media @emilynachazel and @tangerinehotpoweryoga #30daysoftangerine with your self-care activities. I can’t wait to see what you come up with.
xo,
Emily
PS. One of my favorite forms of self-care is my sessions with my health coach {yup, I work with one too!}. Make this part of your self-care practice and schedule your free 30-minute session with me. It's my gift to you for being so incredibly awesome during this challenge!
