farewell to amanda!
Amanda's final class will be this week - read below for a letter from her! We will miss her at Tangerine and are sending her and her family such warm wishes.
Dear Students,
When I started teaching at Tangerine in 2015, I had no idea how much I would evolve as a teacher. And, I have you, the student, to thank for teaching me and leading me on this path. Writing to let you know that after living in NYC for over 21 years, I’m moving north with my husband and new baby boy to the fresh air of Croton-on-Hudson in Westchester County.
Maybe you were there in the early days when the studio was opening. Maybe you were there for a 90 minute class, pre-pandemic, in a room packed with 36 people. Or perhaps we met during the pandemic when my classes started to slow down and focus on alignment?
Every week, you showed up with an open heart and mind. You were courageous, ready for the unexpected. You accepted every challenge and crushed negativity in its tracks. Your spirit is contagious and you created a community filled with love and kindness. You have no idea how grateful I am to have been a part of that.
For years I've been strategically sunsetting my work teaching multiple group yoga classes to teaching individual yoga therapy, functional movement and massage therapy sessions. (It's going really well!) That said, I’m teaching only one class a week at Tangerine Yoga. If you aren’t at work, I'd love to see you on Wednesday 9/21 at 9:30am at Tangerine Yoga for one last hurrah.
My classes aren't fast moving, cardio classes any longer. They move pretty slow and deep. But, it's still a real challenge and my classes continue to serve only the brave and humble.
Hope to see you one last time. And, thank you again for making Tangerine such a special community.
With love,
Amanda
