yoga for anxiety
Many of us struggle with anxiety, but the good news is there’s strong evidence that yoga can help. Join for an evidence-informed practice to explore different tools to cope with anxiety including yoga postures, breathwork, and meditation. This class is unheated.
How Yoga can help with anxiety:
Postures: Tight neck and shoulders anyone? Each week, we'll address common musculoskeletal imbalances associated with anxiety.
Breathwork: Anxiety and fast, shallow breathing can be part of a vicious cycle - learn techniques to break out of it and soothe your nervous system.
Meditation: Each week, we'll explore a different meditation or mindfulness practice to help train your mind on the present moment rather than thoughts about the future.
Join Tangerine for a weekly practice dedicated to help you connect with your body, breath, and mind. Taught by Laura, Tangerine owner and a certified yoga therapists (C-IAYT) with a Master of Science degrees in Yoga Therapy.
flow + restore
Wind down with moderate flow followed by a deep and relaxing restorative practice. Work with props like bolsters, blankets, blocks, and roller balls to release muscle tension and self-massage, slowly releasing the work week and rejuvenating your mind and body. This class is not heated.
By focusing on gentle poses, deep breathing, and relaxation, restorative postures can help reduce stress and promote mental clarity. This practice encourages relaxation of the nervous system, which can lower anxiety and improve sleep.
