Start Your Summer
Staff Spotlight: Cissy
Meet Cissy, one of our newest assistants and a graduate of our Teacher Training whose classes radiate joy, spontaneity, and deep presence. Her teaching is grounded in the belief that what we notice on the mat can transform how we move through the world beyond it.
Cissy is especially passionate about helping students bring ease into their strength, blending mindfulness and movement in ways that support both body and spirit. Off the mat, she works in media, explores cultural connection, and finds creativity in the kitchen - she’s a baker, a humble (but excellent) chef, and a collector of life’s tiny, beautiful moments. Her journey into teaching has been as thoughtful as her practice. As she puts it: “Yoga invites us to reintroduce ourselves to the parts we often overlook - like how our pinky toes meet the ground. It’s not about forcing the body to meet an expectation set by the mind, but about creating space to notice what’s truly there. This practice handed me a small compass and the courage to reach for other explorers’ hands as we venture into the ever-shifting forest of embodiment.”We’re so grateful to have Cissy in our community, bringing curiosity, care, and a contagious joy to every class. Cissy is in-studio assisting on Sundays for the 10:30am & 12pm flows.
Honoring the Dads in Our Community
Happy Father’s Day! We are celebrating all the strong, steady, and supportive father figures who show up in our lives. Whether it’s finding balance, breathing through chaos, or simply being present, we see you and we appreciate you.
Wishing all dads and caregivers a day full of peace, gratitude, and maybe even a little savasana. Bonus Vibes: In honor of her dad, Laura made this Flow + Restore Classic Rock Soundtrack full of “Dad Rock” classics - the songs they used to blast together growing up.
