Many of us struggle with anxiety and the good news is there's strong evidence that yoga can help. Join Laura, Tangerine's owner, for an evidence-informed practice to explore different tools to cope with anxiety including yoga postures, breathwork, and meditation.
How Yoga can help with anxiety:
Postures: Tight neck and shoulders anyone? Each week, we'll address common musculoskeletal imbalances associated with anxiety.
Breathwork: Anxiety and fast, shallow breathing can be part of a vicious cycle - learn techniques to break out of it and soothe your nervous system.
Meditation: Each week, we'll explore a different meditation or mindfulness practice to help train your mind on the present moment rather than thoughts about the future.

Laura first came to yoga at twelve years old to help with anxiety and a therapeutic, mindful focus is key to her classes. Laura is halfway through a two year Master's of Science program in Yoga Therapy at the Maryland University of Integrative Health and as a self-proclaimed science nerd, she loves deep diving into anatomy and physiology - feel free to ask her questions!
